Fire-rated access panel for drywall?
Need an access panel in a garage-to-house wall that meets fire code (drywall separation). Regular plastic ones probably won’t cut it. Any affordable options that are actually rated?

Garage fire walls usually need at least 20-minute rating. Many plastic panels aren’t rated, but I found one that works. The wall access panel for drywall I installed passed inspection because it’s made of high-temperature resin and seals tightly. Easy to install, paintable, and the door mechanism is solid. Inspector had no issues with it. Saved me from buying expensive metal ones.
